Kurume Kasuri Fabrics That Connect the World: Exhibition from Shoji Yamamura and
His Apprentices 

Kurume kasuri woven and dyed fabric has a history dating back more than 200 years and has been designated as an Important Intangible Cultural Property by the national government. Displayed for sale are beautiful Kasuri kimono dyed with natural indigo and unique works incorporating natural dyeing and gradation. Take a look at the panel displays of the production process from participation in the “KIMONO Project” and rare happi coats from Hakata Gion Yamakasa.
