2020 Kurume Kasuri Woven and Dyed Fabric (Important Intangible Cultural Property) New Works Exhibition
This exhibition shows newly-produced fabrics and works with variegated interwoven designs made with traditional Kurume kasuri techniques that are being preserved. Behold techniques that have been designated as a National Important Intangible Cultural Property and the unique colors and textures created by interweaving cotton and natural dyer's knotweed.
