Things Born in the Town of Hakata: dolls, weaving, magemono (round chip box), and kirie (paper-cutting)

Traditional items like Hakata textiles, Hakata dolls, and round chip boxes historically been made and used in Hakata, will be on display and available for sale. In addition to articles made by craftsmen who are active at the Hakata Traditional Craft and Design Museum, the exhibition will feature original works by the paper cutting craftsman Kazuyoshi Konishi. Come get a taste of Hakata's fascinating traditions.
