Koishiwara Pottery Cooperative Youth Group Exhibition – Tiny Dish Collection –

Mamezara are palm-size dishes and a quintessential piece of Japanese tableware, used every day for sauces and small servings of side dishes. These handmade works bring a warm and cozy feel to your table. Feel free to enjoy assembling a set of the same dishes, or instead select individual dishes that take your fancy. Some mamezara incorporate traditional Koishiwara ware designs, such as “tobi-kanna” (chatter marking) and “hakeme” (brush marking). Light and small, these dishes would make the perfect souvenir of your stay in Japan.
