Yame Traditional Arts and Crafts Exhibition – A Fusion of History and Culture

There are a range of traditional products displayed here that are available for purchase. These are blessed with the warmth of Yame's craftspeople, ranging from Yame Fukushima butsudan (Buddhist altars) and Yame chochin lanterns, which have been designated as traditional crafts of national importance, to the prefecturally-designated stone lanterns, hand-made washi paper, Japanese spinning tops and Yame arrows. This exhibition also presents new works, such as small, stylish Buddhist altars and lanterns with a contemporary feel.
