Exhibition of Warm Hand - Woven Items for Winter by Hitomi Tanabe

The artist has hand-dyed yarns made from wool, cashmere, alpaca and other winter materials, and woven them into various patterns. Her handwoven mufflers, shawls, and clothes are light and warm—perfect for frigid winter or early spring days. This time she will also exhibit tapestries, bags, and accessories woven from scraps of old kimono. Sakiori is a ingenious technique for treasuring old kimono by weaving their fabric into new items. It also allows user to enjoy the variety of transformations born from dissimilar patterns of cloth. Come enjoy the warm textures woven by yarn.
